Wellington American Legion Post 390 held a meeting to mark the holiday on Wednesday 14 December at the Wellington Community Centre. The meeting was attended by members of the Palm Beach Patriotic Quilters Quilts of Valor Foundation, which has provided handcrafted quilts to many veterans. Veterans who went on the recent honor ride to Washington, D.C., were also honored.
