Arrow Electronics supports holiday season toy, food drives worldwide | Press Releases | Asia

This holiday season, Arrow Electronics employees have contributed to organizations that provide children with seasonal gifts, as well as providing essential goods to families in need.

From its headquarters, the Arrow staff ran a Precious Children’s Play campaign. The nonprofit Metro Denver distributes donated new toys, gift cards, and other much-needed items to underserved children and families through its resource center, as well as to 500 partner agencies across the state.

Arrow employees in Colorado collected the toys, toiletries, and clothing and transported them to the charity’s central warehouse in North Denver, where the gifts were sorted and organized for delivery. A group of employees spent an afternoon volunteering in the warehouse to help with the distribution. Other employees purchased gifts online and donated them to the charity online to facilitate delivery.

The nonprofit gave gifts to 13,750 children in metro Denver in its Christmas campaign. Gifts included toys, winter clothes, toiletries, headphones and sporting goods.

Other employees have campaigned in support of the homeless, animal shelters, and food banks. Arrow also hosted a daily meal packaging block through Rise Against Hunger, resulting in 10,000 ready-to-go meals.

In branch offices around the world, Arrow employees have donated to a variety of nonprofit organizations that meet local needs.

In Asia-Pac:

  • Teams of staff in Singapore and Malaysia have donated and volunteered at local food banks.
  • In South Korea, staff participated in the Walk of Compassion to raise money for drought-affected children and families in Kenya through Compassion International.
