Bay City, County offices closing for New Year’s holiday


Bay City, Michigan – Bay City is preparing to kick off the new year after a busy 2022. But next weekend means local government offices are closed for business.

Bay City offices will be closed in observance of New Year’s Day on Friday, December 30th and Monday, January 2nd. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3.

For those who need to pay bills such as utility bills, the city offers online payment services at: https://mi-baycity.civicplus.com/419/Pay-Your-Bill

Bay City trash pickup will not be delayed while the city office is closed. The city’s garbage service will still operate on its regular schedule.

District offices will also be closed due to the upcoming holiday. All Bay County offices, except for essential services such as Central Dispatch and the Bay County Sheriff’s office, will be closed on December 30 and January 2 as well.
