Panama City Beach, FL (WJHG/WECP) – Only days away from the holidays and many businesses are asking for extra help.
Workers are in high demand right now with signs needed help everywhere, and now with the holiday season fast approaching, there is an even greater need.
Gulf College Communications Director Becky Samariba says big companies will struggle the most in their search for seasonal hires.

The news comes even though the number of job postings for this year was about the same as last year when several stores in Bay County said they had difficulty finding workers.
Kylie Williamson is the store manager at Coastal Casuals. She says their holiday hiring looks promising.
“Compared to last year this year, we’ve had a lot more people coming into the store and asking for an app,” Williamson said.
Pink Narcissus’ assistant manager Erica Lopez says her company is already prepared for holiday store traffic.
“We’ve already had us fully staffed for the first time since Hurricane Michael, which is great,” Lopez said.
As for the rest of the companies in Bay County, the workforce is on the rise, so you just have to have a little hope of vacation.
“Our region is growing. Our workforce is growing. Our unemployment is very low, and we have a good employment situation in general,” Samariba said.
