Chewy’s “Letter to Chewy Claus” to make pets jolly all holiday season long


The initiative will give furry, feathered, and scaly friends on the ‘cute’ list of their holiday wish list while supporting animals in need in the process

Chewy, Inc. has unveiled Letters to Chewy Claus to spread holiday cheer.

According to the company’s release,1 This initiative was launched to help grant holiday wishes to pets as their parents share their wish lists via a pet friendly website. Chewy Claus will review requests, find out who’s been naughty or nice, and give gifts to thousands of pets and their families.

“At Chewy, we know pets are part of the family and we wanted to give them a way to really participate in this holiday season,” Orlina Young, Chewy Vice President of Brand Marketing, states in the release. “Through Chewy Claus, we hope to spread joy while acknowledging the most important gift that keeps on giving—the love and companionship of our pets.”

All letters submitted before December 15, 2022 will be read and pets will be gifted before the new year.

Plus, with the help of Greater Good Charities, Chewy Claus will be providing shelter and rescue pets this season with some love and care, too. For every letter submitted to Chewy Claus before December 15, 2022, Chewy will give one pound of food to a nonprofit partner, up to 15,000 pounds.1

In addition, Chewy will match customer purchases to a product donation of up to $1 million per week for a potential total of $10 million during the giving season that runs through January 3, 2023. This initiative provides rescue and shelter toys for pets, treats, treats and more this holiday season.
