Dallas — A fuel pump caught fire at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Friday, forcing a ground stop in one of the nation’s busiest hubs, officials said.

“A fire broke out this morning at the DFW Airport fuel farm located on the west side of the airport,” according to a statement from the FAA.

“The fire went out. But the fuel lines are now closed as the airport is conducting a safety check. All incoming flights are booked at the departure airport due to the lack of available fuel.”
