Ari Respati, President of the Center for International Trade Development, assessed that sports tourism is sustainable because it evolves according to people’s lifestyles and can attract repeat visitors. “ITDC seizes a great opportunity in the field of sports tourism and is therefore ready to participate in the development of sports tourism in Indonesia by organizing several sports events in managed tourism destinations,” Ari said on Wednesday October 5, 2022.
Located in Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara Province, Mandalika really offers attractive landscapes from savannah hills, gorgeous beaches, to unique underwater, supported by complete facilities for sporting events, such as running, cycling, windsurfing, beach volleyball, trekking, paragliding, among others. .
According to Ari, sports tourism in Mandalika is backed by the presence of the Pertamina Mandalika circuit, the world’s most prestigious MotoGP championships, and the World Superbike Speedway Championship. “We will improve this motorbike event as an attention-grabbing factor to attract tourists to visit Mandalika,” he added.
Therefore, prior to the WSBK to be held on November 11-13, 2022, ITDC along with the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) as part of the ITDC Group will focus on completing the preparation for the event.
