Former Michigan State Louis Hansen announced he was transferring from Michigan to UConn on Monday night. The Massachusetts native will return to the Northeast.
Hansen is a former 4-Star candidate in the class of 2021 and will have 4 years of eligibility remaining with his redshirt year.

Hansen was rated the No. 257 recruit in the class of 2021 and the No. 11 tight end. Currently, UConn has only one 4-star or higher talent on the team, 4-star offensive tackle Dane Shore, who transferred from Alabama.
The reason UConn has these transfer commitments is likely due to Jim L. Mora, who became UConn’s head coach this past season. The Huskies had a respectable year by their standards, winning 6 games. That’s 2 more than the Huskies have collected in the previous four seasons.
