The star of a classic Christmas movie lights up the holiday lights at a suburban Chicago restaurant this week.
According to a press release, on Tuesday night, longtime actor and comedian Chevy Chase will revive his iconic role as Clark Griswold and recreate a scene from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” at Rising Cane’s restaurant in suburban Morton Grove, 6881 W. Dempster Street.
According to the release, Chase Restaurant founder and Raising Cane Todd Graves at 5 p.m. will “deliver” the restaurant’s elaborate holiday lights show, which features more than 13,000 lights.
Plus, the outdoor display will include Santa Claus, reindeer, and other holiday decorations inspired by the movie.
A food cart with free hot chocolate and carolers singing Christmas favorites will also be joining the festivities next Tuesday.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation saw its theatrical release in December 1989, starring Chase alongside Randy Quaid and Beverly D’Angelo.
