2023 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Walt Disney World Resort. With new 2023 experiences on the way and more Disney excitement hopefully coming back, don’t wait to make your Disney 2023 vacation plans.
While we’ve seen dining experiences like Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park, Welcome Back to the Characters, the return of buffet-style dining at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and the revamp of Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort… Disney foodies are thrilled. To enjoy new and old meals and sips around Walt Disney World.

We are especially pleased with Disney Springs’ newest restaurant, Summer House on the Lake, which is owned by the family-owned independent restaurant group known as Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants.
Summer House on the Lake will feature a California-inspired menu with “simple, sustainable ingredients.” The restaurant has proven successful with its prime locations in Chicago, Illinois, and North Bethesda, Maryland.
Known for its “fresh beach house environment,” this table service restaurant will also feature an in-house bakery, in addition to the all-important extensive wine list and handcrafted cocktail list.
That “fresh, beach house” feel will easily be brought to life in Disney Springs as the restaurant is ideally located on the Disney Springs waterfront in the western part of the shopping, dining and entertainment district.
Summer House on the Lake Located right across from the new Salt & Straw ice cream shop (near the AMC Dine-In Theatre), located between the Disney Food Truck District and Jaleo by José Andrés Restaurant, Summer House on the Lake will be Disney’s Springs is an ideal location.
Now, we are witnessing the latest construction update on the new Disney Springs restaurant.

It appears that the great restaurant is still in the early stages of development. However, we believe construction will move quickly as Summer House on the Lake is scheduled to open in 2023.
