THE WOODLANDS, TX – VISIT The Woodlands, the official marketing and management organization of The Woodlands Township, has announced its Board of Directors and seven (7) employees for 2023.

At Visit The Woodlands’ annual board meeting on December 14, 2022, the board elected Brad Bailey as President, Fred Dominic as Vice President and Richard Franks as Secretary/Treasurer. Additional elected directors include Linda Nelson, Principal and Secretary of The Woodlands Township; Jenny Taylor, General Manager, Market Street; Cameron Kleback, Director of Marketing and Education for Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion; and Monique Sharp, President and CEO of The Woodlands Township. The council has also appointed Nick Wolda as Head of Visit The Woodlands.
“I am passionate about giving back to my community at The Woodlands,” said Brad Bailey, President of Visit The Woodlands. “Not only does this organization promote The Woodlands as a great vacation and conference destination, but it also helps keep tax rates low for residents and helps provide a win-win atmosphere for businesses to grow and thrive. Through volunteer work, the Directors set annual policy and budget as well as provide input on marketing and sales initiatives in promoting The Woodlands for meetings and leisure travel. Visit The Woodlands generates revenue for The Woodlands Township by promoting The Woodlands and driving demand for both hotel and sales tax collection.

Woodlands Township relies on hotel tax and sales tax, which make up more than half of The Woodlands Township’s budget. With 14 hotels and millions of square feet of shopping, dining, hospitality, and entertainment, The Woodlands relies on tourism dollars to offset property taxes. In 2022, travel and tourism in The Woodlands will generate approximately $9 million in revenue
Hotel occupancy tax revenue and over $67 million in sales tax revenue. According to the State of Texas, travel and tourism account for more than 4,000 jobs in The Woodlands.
Visit The Woodlands will continue to build on the sales, marketing and tourism initiatives introduced in recent years. These initiatives have proven successful in establishing The Woodlands as a beautiful, vibrant and welcoming destination recognized for first class business, conference and leisure travel.
