What’s scheduled to be closed on Oct. 10 holiday

The Town of Arlington is reminding residents of local offices and services that will be closed or schedules changed due to Monday, October 10, Indigenous Peoples Day. This holiday is known in some other geographical regions as Columbus Day.

October 10: No garbage collected. One day delay the rest of the week
Garbage normally collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday. Pick-up will be collected on Friday on Saturday. This schedule applies to trash, recycling, and yard waste. For missed pickups, call Republic Services at (781) 0500 289. For additional information on trash and recycling, please visit arlingtonma.gov/recycle.

Library table:

Both Robbins Library and Fox Library are scheduled to close on Monday, October 10.

October 10: The administrative offices of the City Hall are closed

The following Arlington township offices are scheduled to close Monday, October 10:

Town Hall, 730 Mass. Ave.
– Community Center, 27 Al Qeeb Street.
– Entertainment Office 422 Summer Street.
DPW Administrative Office, 51 Grove Street.
– Inspection Services 23 Al-Qeeb Street.
– APD Recording Room, 112 Mystic Street.
Fire Department Office, 411 Mass. Ave.

Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day nearby
Events open to the public are scheduled nearby – on Sundays in Arlington and Belmont, and Mondays in Concord and Winchester.
